Since we arrived in the Greater Los Angeles area, we have been attending MOSAIC right off the corner of La Brea and Hollywood every Sunday. While we are in the city, we take time to check out new parts of LA. Recently we brought our Italian housemate Steve along on one of our random adventures to check out a bit of Hollywood after church. We enjoyed introducing him to a quick cheap bite at In-N-Out off of Sunset Boulevard + N. Orange Drive which Steve loved. According to him you don't get burgers like that in his part of Italy!
After wandering around a bit on Hollywood BLVD we decided to check out Beverly Hills. I have always wanted to see if Beverly Hills' Rodeo Drive was how I had imagined it when I first watched "Pretty Woman." I started searching for things to do in Beverly Hills and found this blog post to be helpful with ideas that were free. Some were cheesy, but that's okay with me, I'm full of it being that I lived in Wisconsin for 15 years (Thanks lovebeverlyhills.com for some great ideas)! We loved driving along Sunset BLVD as we made our way to Rodeo Dr. We popped off on some side streets that took us through neighborhoods full of homes that were stunning and triple the size that we all grew up with. Once we hit Rodeo Drive we saw Maserati's, Ferrari's and Lamborghini's out for a "Sunday Drive." We walked along and saw every designer you could imagine with storefronts beautifully laid out. It was a treat to see the major contrast to Hollywood BLVD!
So if you are in the LA area and looking for something fun to do that's free... either nook is great for exploring!
