Firefighter and His Bride | Wisconsin Barn Wedding

On May 11, 2019, Jenny and Andy successfully pulled off a beautiful wedding planned in just a few short months.  You heard me right... a total of 3 months.  I received a phone call from the lovely bride-to-be on February 11, 2019, asking if Lee and I were free to photograph their wedding in May.  At first, I thought May of 2020... but Jenny quickly stated May of 2019.  In my head I was thinking, I like this gal already! And yes... we were open!

It's not easy pulling off a short engagement, but it's definitely possible.  I mean, all you really need is a location, an officiant, and a bride and groom, right? Don't get me wrong, it's nice having a photographer, guests, food, fancy wedding attire, a cake... but in my mind, that's just the "icing on the cake" (pun intended?)  Thankfully Jenny had a close friend, Marsha, who happens to be an amazing wedding planner and is the owner of an event planning business! (If you're looking for some help planning your wedding, Marsha at "Distinctly Yours + Events, LLC" will not disappoint!)

With a little determination and some intense planning, Jenny and Andy were able to get married with all the delightful "icing" to send them off on the right foot into marital bliss.  It was such a delight watching the two walk through their day surrounded by family and friends with joy on their faces and ease in their step.  They were married outside in the chilly May air and partied on the inside of Eron's Event Barn where their guests' could thaw out their fingers and toes in the heated (thank goodness) barn!

To Jenny and Andy:

Thank you so much for inviting us into your day.  We loved getting to see all of your hard work come to fruition and it truly was a delight to photograph!  Jenny, I absolutely loved how you incorporated pieces of your mom throughout the day.  It really touched my heart.  Andy, getting to see you come alive in your firefighter attire was SO FUN!   Lee and I wish you all the best.

Until next time...

With gusto,

Ann + Lee
